Boxes seem to be high quality and went together well. The boxes seem a little large as they will almost fit a 9th frame (not quite). I hope this does not become a problem with the bees building too much extra comb. Time will tell. Otherwise, very pleased with these hives.

The only reason I didn't give this beautiful hive 5 stars is that the frames were terrible. Fully 20-25% of them had huge knot holes and splits in them. The hive on the other hand is a work of art. Very well crafted and my bees love it.

Our bee castles were easy to assemble and we are impressed so far. love that the boxes are covered in beeswax and the smell is wonderful! We got the 8 frame hoping the bees would fare better in a smaller space due to our long snowy winters. I gave 4 stars because we haven't used the hives as our new bees will arrive in May.

I'm still putting them together have had no problems no damage although 1 box was. But I purchased these because of the wedge top bar frame as I am foundationless, there is no wedge just standard plastic frames not used for foundationless without reworking.

Overall I'm pleased with the hive box. It was quite easy to put together. There were a couple small broken pieces on frames but were easy enough to glue and nail in place so it wasn't worth trying to replace. It's a BEAUTIFUL hive, although I'm disappointed that within 2 weeks of being outdoors, the edges have lost a fair amount of wax, so I'm going to have to coat the edges soon to preserve the wood. Still, for the price, I'm happy with it and will likely buy another one.

The hives are beautiful and easy to put together. As a first time beekeeper I was happy to see that the foundation for the deep hive boxes are black, which will make it easier to see eggs in the cells. I can’t wait yo get my nucs at the end of the month and start this adventure

This was my second order. Somethings were a little off. ¼ of the screws were too short, metal cover on my waxed hive was dented in 2 areas (shipping box wasn't dented at all), and the entrance reducer was splitting apart just touching it, but they are sending items to replace them.
