The ones were well constructed with tight fitting dovetails. They went together with a little persuasion. Screws were supplied and the predrilled holes were helpful. The frames were easily assembled.

The pieces are all cut well & they fit snuggly. No need to paint this particular model as its beeswax dipped. Just a good all around hive for a beginner like me or a veteran beekeeper.
