I already have a three level beehive from your company. This four layer hive is a very good deal in my opinion. I had purchased this to be Built and used next season
(2027).
When the box arrived, all four corners of the box had split. The best I can tell is all The frames and such look un damaged.
The only thing is, There is a trail of nails and screws on the ground from the truck to my front door and when I picked it up, More fell out.
Please send me a new packet of nails and screws so I am not short when I build it next season.

Our little apiary (bee yard) started with a single BeeCastle hive and quickly grew to 2 with our first split...and then there were 3! After seeing the quality of the PRECISION cut boxes that we easily joined together with a rubber mallet before inserting the included screws, I will stick with these. We also added the screened bottom boards with mite boards opposite the solid boards that came with the kit which gives us the ability to more effectively treat & monitor for mites. Best deal is to get 2 whole tall hive kits at a time when they're on sale. My only wish would be to see a 10-frame medium-only tall kit offered as the deep boxes are too heavy for us. Our best colony currently has 6 medium boxes tall mid-summer.

Received package with some shipping damage to the box but only a slight dent in the corner of the top. However, three of the frame were cracked along the length of the side, but we glued and screwed them together so we could build the boxes. They should be ok I hope. It would be hard to check every piece so we understand. All good. We really like Bee Castle , your all we will buy from. Thx

Right now I'm only using 1 deep and 1 super. When I ordered it it was supposed to be delivered on a Thursdsy or Friday, instead it was delivered late Monday night. My bees had swarmed on Tuesday morning due to running out of room. So now I've got just one deep and super on, with no queen excluder on, now I'm just trying to build the hive back up.

I have several other boxes from mainstream brands and these are higher quality. The frames are all straight and once assembled with glue and nails they are rock solid. They also look amazing but I can’t speak as to how they weather because I just bought 2 hives this year and plan to buy many more as I expand my apiary.

Exceeded expectations. The dovetail joints make it so sturdy.

Following the instructions, the frames are built being held together by a single simple nail. No instructions to predrill the hole which means you may split the wood.
More importantly, other more experienced bee keepers suggest gluing the frame joints because even drawn frames can fall apart because its heavy and you're lifting it by the top rail, which can separate.
I used a brad nailer and glue to cross nail the wood like any wood worker would for strength, and waterproof wood glue (normal isn't water proof and beehives are moist at times)
Everything else is top notch, i got it on sale so hard to beat, but ultimately, you don't have to get a special hive, bees are happy in plyboard boxes you ram together. Just look at bigger bee keepers, they have some.....interesting hives :-)
